This long-selling Japanese confectionery, created nearly 100 years ago, is a uniquely original sweet. Made from glutinous rice, it has a soft and chewy texture, and each piece is wrapped in oblaat to prevent sticking—so you can eat it together with the wrapper. Oblaat is a thin, tasteless, and odorless edible sheet made from potato or sweet potato starch that quickly dissolves in your mouth.

It contains juice from bontan, a citrus fruit native to Southeast Asia, as well as mandarin oranges. Behind its gentle sweetness, you can subtly taste the flavor of bontan.
